The NPN inductive proximity sensor is a reliable and cost-effective metal detection sensor designed for industrial automation, machine control, and positioning applications. The sensor uses high-frequency oscillation technology to generate an electromagnetic field at the sensing surface. When a metal object enters the detection zone, eddy currents are induced, causing a change in oscillation amplitude. This change is processed internally and converted into a stable switching output signal, ensuring precise metal detection without mechanical wear.
The cylindrical metal body with threaded mounting allows easy installation on machines, conveyors, and automation frames. The 3-wire configuration (Brown: V+, Blue: 0V, Black: Output) simplifies wiring and integration into industrial control systems. The sensor is resistant to vibration and suitable for continuous operation in industrial environments.
